FlexPlate-Powder Coated PEI

The Powder Coated FlexPlate consists of three parts: a magnetic surface to attach to the printer bed, and a high-quality spring steel sheet covered with a PEI (Polyetherimide) layer. This design ensures excellent adhesion and easy removal of prints.

The FlexPlate-Powder Coated PEI is durable, easy to handle, and perfect for 3D printing. Thanks to the flexible plate, prints can be removed effortlessly—just bend the plate slightly and the model will pop off.

This FlexPlate features a ferrite core, more heat resistant than neodymium magnets. It can withstand temperatures up to 130°C, making it suitable for ABS and other high-temperature filaments.

PEI (Polyetherimide) is a reusable, low-maintenance build surface compatible with ABS (with a heated bed), PLA (hot or cold), and other materials like PETG, metal-infused filaments, and wood composites. No adhesives, glue, or tape are required. PEI allows printing directly on the surface without support rafts.

How to Use

Attach the magnetic surface to your printer bed, then place the spring steel plate with the PEI layer on top. Remove the protective film from the PEI and re-level your bed. PLA can be printed without heat, but a heated bed at 45°C improves adhesion. After printing, let the plate cool, remove it, and bend gently to release the print. Before each print, clean the PEI with 70–91% isopropyl alcohol to remove grease and residues. You can also clean it with acetone, methyl alcohol, or soap.
