FlexPlate-Powder Coated PEI

The Powder Coated FlexPlate consists of three components: a magnetic surface that attaches to your printer bed, and a high-quality spring steel sheet coated with premium PEI Ultem. This combination ensures durability, reliability, and excellent print adhesion.

The FlexPlate-Powder Coated PEI is a durable and easy-to-use surface for 3D printing. Its flexible design allows prints to be removed effortlessly—just bend the plate slightly and the print pops off.

This FlexPlate is based on a ferrite core, which is more heat-resistant than neodymium magnets. It can withstand temperatures up to 130°C, making it suitable for high-temperature filaments like ABS.

PEI Ultem (Polyetherimide) is a reusable, low-maintenance build surface compatible with ABS (heated bed required), PLA (hot or cold), and other materials such as Metal, Wood, PETG, ABS+, and more. No additional adhesives like glue or tape are needed. PEI is convenient due to its "no-surface-prep" characteristics, and prints adhere directly without the need for support rafts.

How to Use

Attach the magnetic surface to your print bed, then place the spring steel plate with PEI on top. Remove the protective film from the PEI and re-level your bed. PLA does not require heating, though 45°C helps adhesion. For large or long prints, an adhesive stick can improve sticking and release. After printing, allow the plate to cool, bend it gently, and pop the print off. Clean the PEI surface with 70–91% isopropyl alcohol or mild solvents to maintain optimal adhesion.
