Description
FlexPlate Powder Coated PEI for Bambu Lab X1, P1 and A1
The FlexPlate with powder coated PEI is a premium build surface designed for Bambu Lab X1, P1 and A1 3D printers. It offers excellent adhesion, high durability and effortless print removal, making it an essential upgrade for reliable and high-quality 3D printing.
Powder Coated PEI Surface
PEI Ultem (Polyetherimide) is a reusable and low-maintenance build surface suitable for a wide range of filaments. It works perfectly with PLA (hot or cold), ABS (with a heated bed), PETG, ABS+, wood-filled, metal-filled filaments and many more.
No additional adhesives such as glue or tape are required, thanks to the excellent natural adhesion of the PEI surface. Printing on PEI requires no surface preparation and no support rafts, as parts adhere directly to the build plate and release easily once cooled.
How to Use the FlexPlate
Place the FlexPlate onto the printer’s build surface with the PEI side facing up. The integrated magnetic base ensures quick and precise alignment. For large prints or long print jobs, the use of an adhesive stick is recommended to further improve adhesion and simplify part removal.
After printing, allow the plate to cool down, remove it from the printer and gently flex it to easily release the printed model.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Before each print, clean the PEI surface with 70–91% isopropyl alcohol to remove grease and residues. This significantly improves first-layer adhesion. For deeper cleaning, acetone, isopropyl alcohol, methyl alcohol or mild soap can be used.
