Description
FlexPlate - Powder Coated PEI for Creality K1
The FlexPlate with powder coated PEI is the upgrade your printer deserves. It provides a perfect printing surface that is durable, reliable, and easy to manage. Once your model has finished printing, you can easily remove it from the plate and start your next project.
PEI Coated Surface
PEI Ultem (Polyetherimide) is a reusable, low-maintenance build surface suitable for a wide range of materials including PLA (hot or cold), ABS (with heated bed), PETG, ABS+, metal-filled, wood-filled filaments, and more. No additional adhesives such as glue or tape are required. PEI is convenient due to its "no-surface-prep" feature, and parts adhere directly to the surface without needing support rafts.
How to Use
Attach the plate to the printer’s build surface with the PEI side facing up. Thanks to the magnets, positioning is easy and precise. For large or long-duration prints, using an adhesive stick can improve adhesion and make part removal easier. Once printing is complete, allow the plate to cool, remove it from the printer, and gently flex it to release the model.
Cleaning and Maintenance
Before each print, wipe the PEI surface with 70–91% isopropyl alcohol to remove grease and residue. This improves first-layer adhesion. For deeper cleaning, acetone, isopropyl alcohol, methyl alcohol, or mild soap can be used.
