Trackit Optical Tracking 3D Scanner

Metrohub uses the Revopoint Trackit Optical Tracking 3D Scanner, an advanced measurement system developed for industrial metrology and high-precision scanning. Featuring 30 blue cross laser lines and one blue single laser line, the system captures up to 1,500,000 points per second and creates detailed point clouds for analysis and measurement.

The optical tracking technology means that markers do not need to be placed directly on the workpiece, simplifying preparation and reducing setup time before scanning begins. Trackit provides volumetric accuracy up to 0.025 mm + 0.04 mm × L (m) and is suitable for everything from small precision components to larger industrial parts.

Cobot Vbot 9 – Flexible Robot Automation

The collaborative Vbot 9 robot arm is designed for automated 3D scanning and industrial workflows where precision and flexibility are essential. With six motion axes, a 919 mm working radius, a maximum payload of 5 kg, and repeatability of ±0.03 mm, the robot can perform advanced movements around complex geometries.

Vbot 9 is equipped with integrated six-axis force sensors that monitor load and movement in real time. This allows the robot to quickly respond to unexpected contact and contributes to a safer working environment when operating near users.

Fast Installation with Intelligent Robot Control

With Drag-to-Teach, the robot can be programmed by manually guiding it through the desired movements. CAD-to-Path enables automated scanning paths to be created directly from CAD models, while Vision-to-Path can be used to generate efficient movement paths based on visual data.

The automatic multi-position calibration simplifies installation and ensures high accuracy throughout the working area. Combined with automated path planning, these features create an efficient workflow for repeated measurements and series inspections.

Safe Collaboration Between Humans and Robots

Vbot 9 is designed as a collaborative robot (cobot) where safety and flexibility are key priorities. The integrated six-axis force sensors continuously monitor the robot's movement and load, allowing the system to quickly respond to unexpected contact.

Metrohub is fully integrated with Revopoint's software ecosystem for analysis, measurement, and product development. With Revo Measure, users can perform advanced inspection, CAD comparisons, GD&T measurements, point cloud analysis, and generate detailed measurement reports.

For reverse engineering, captured scanning data can be further processed in Revo Design, where point clouds and 3D data can be used as a foundation for creating digital models and continuing the design process.

The combination of Trackit, Vbot 9, and Revopoint software creates a complete workflow from physical component to analysed 3D data and finished digital model.
