High Precision for Complex Objects

The POP 4 combines 30 blue cross laser lines with infrared full-field light and VCSEL technology to create detailed 3D models with high accuracy. Laser scanning reaches a precision of up to 0.03 mm and is particularly effective for mechanical components, reverse engineering, and Scan-to-CAD workflows. The scanner handles many difficult materials such as dark plastic surfaces, reflective metal, and flat objects without traditional aids like markers or scanning spray.

Two Versions for Different Workflows

Standard Edition

Includes the scanner, tripod, mini turntable, and necessary cables. This package is suitable for users who primarily work in a stationary setup at a desk or in a studio together with a computer.

Premium Edition

Also includes:

• 5500 mAh battery grip
• Outdoor Blue filters for scanning in bright sunlight
• Protective carrying case

The ergonomic battery grip provides up to four hours of wireless operation and enables a mobile workflow together with a smartphone or tablet via Wi-Fi 6. The included outdoor filters also allow blue laser scanning in up to 100,000 lux by reducing interference from strong ambient light.

AI-Driven Scanning in Real-Time

The POP 4 uses built-in AI computing to isolate the object during the scanning process. The Zero-Noise Capture function automatically filters out backgrounds, tables, and unwanted elements in real-time. The AI system can also identify and hide the user's fingers, making it possible to hold and rotate objects directly in the hand during scanning.

• Multi-Line Laser
  Uses 30 blue cross laser lines to achieve maximum precision up to 0.03 mm. Perfect for reverse engineering, engineering components, and detailed mechanical objects.

• Full-Field HD
  Uses infrared structured light for fast, marker-free scanning of faces, bodies, and objects with a high level of detail.
• VCSEL Rapid
  Optimized for larger objects and outdoor scanning in bright sunlight conditions up to 100,000 lux.
• Hybrid HD
  Combines speed, stable tracking, and a high level of detail for a flexible and efficient workflow.

3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS)

The POP 4 supports direct export to .splat format for photorealistic 3D Gaussian Splatting. This technology makes it possible to create more lifelike results for reflections, translucency-like effects, and complex materials compared to traditional texturing methods.

Unlike mobile-based solutions, the POP 4 creates its splats on an accurate geometric base model, providing better dimensional accuracy and more stable results.

Software and Workflow

With Revo Scan 6, point clouds can be processed automatically or manually using tools for cleaning, optimization, and data export.

The ecosystem is complemented by:

The POP 4 supports export to formats such as PLY, OBJ, STL, ASC, 3MF, GLTF, FBX, and Splat, making the models compatible with professional software including SolidWorks, Blender, Fusion 360, ZBrush, AutoCAD, Cura, and Bambu Studio.

Blue laser scanning (Multi-Line Laser mode) and 3DGS mode require a dedicated NVIDIA graphics card for hardware acceleration, such as RTX 3060 or better. Multi-Line Laser mode does not support standalone operation directly with a smartphone and requires a PC connection. Full-Field and VCSEL modes can, however, be used directly with compatible mobile devices.
