With a build volume of 800 × 800 × 800 mm, the Aura3D A8 can print large components in a single piece, reducing the need to split models into smaller parts. The machine measures 1250 × 1240 × 1645 mm and features a stable frame construction designed to provide good stability during printing.
The Core-XY system and linear guides control the printer's movements and contribute to a smooth, controlled printing process. The construction is designed for large-scale printing of prototypes and functional parts.
The Aura3D A8 uses plastic pellets measuring 1–5 mm as its raw material. Pellet-based printing can reduce material costs compared with filament-based printing, particularly when manufacturing large objects with high material consumption.
The extrusion system features two heating zones to optimize material melting. The upper heating zone reaches up to 380 °C, while the lower nozzle heating zone reaches up to 450 °C. This enables printing with a wide range of thermoplastics and high-temperature composite materials, depending on the specific requirements of each material.
The integrated material hopper holds up to 15 kg of pellets. An automatic feeding system transports the material from the hopper to the extruder, reducing the need for manual refilling during printing.
The system's capacity is designed for larger prints and extended production cycles.
The Aura3D A8 is designed to process several types of thermoplastics, including engineering polymers, fibre-reinforced materials and recycled plastic feedstocks. Material selection should be adapted to the printing parameters and the machine configuration.
Examples of materials specified for the printer include:

With nozzle diameters ranging from 0.4 to 8.0 mm, the Aura3D A8 can be adapted to different printing requirements. Smaller nozzles are suitable for greater detail, while larger nozzles allow higher material flow rates and can speed up the production of large components.
The build surface can be configured with aluminium, tempered glass or PEI, depending on the preferred setup and the material requirements.
The Aura3D A8 is suitable for various types of large-scale production and prototyping, including:
