xTool WonderPress - One Modular Platform for Heat Pressing and 3D Creation

xTool WonderPress combines an automatic heat press with a modular platform that can be expanded for additional creative processes. The system is designed around interchangeable modules, allowing the same machine platform to support conventional flat heat-transfer work as well as optional workflows such as 3D sublimation, vacuum forming, DTF curing and craft heating.

The exact capabilities available depend on the WonderPress configuration and modules selected. This makes the platform suitable both for users focused primarily on apparel and transfer work and for makers who want to expand into more specialised 3D applications later.

Automatic Pressure up to 100 kg

The Heat Press Module applies up to 100 kg of pressure automatically, reducing the physical effort associated with manual pressing while providing repeatable force across the workpiece. Pressure can be adjusted in 1 kg increments, giving users greater control when working with materials that require different transfer settings.

The automatic mechanism handles both pressing and lifting, helping create a more consistent workflow for repeated production tasks.

Even Heat Across the Pressing Area

xTool uses a high-density heating-tube layout together with an ultra-flat platen to improve temperature and pressure uniformity from the centre to the edges of the pressing area. Consistent heating helps reduce poorly bonded areas and supports reliable adhesion across larger transfers.

Temperature can be adjusted in precise 1 °C increments, making it easier to match the press settings to the requirements of different transfer materials.

Made for Different Transfer Materials

WonderPress can be used for common heat-transfer processes including HTV, sublimation and DTF transfers. The combination of adjustable temperature, time and pressure allows the machine to be configured for materials with very different processing requirements.

For apparel applications, uniform heat and pressure help promote consistent adhesion across the transfer rather than concentrating force or temperature in only part of the design.

Tested for Durable DTF Transfers

In testing conducted by xTool Lab, DTF transfers produced with WonderPress completed more than 50 industrial wash cycles without peeling. xTool attributes the result to the combination of even heat, uniform pressure and precise process control, helping create consistent adhesion across the transfer.

Extra Clearance for Thicker Objects

The Heat Press Module provides up to 75 mm of vertical clearance. This gives the machine additional room for thicker workpieces compared with conventional low-clearance automatic presses and expands the range of objects that can be positioned beneath the platen.

Three Modules, Different Workflows

WonderPress is built around interchangeable modules. The available functions therefore depend on which modules are included with the selected bundle or purchased separately.

• Heat Press Module: automatic heat pressing for flat transfer applications including HTV, sublimation and DTF.
• 3D Form Module: adds 3D sublimation and vacuum-forming workflows.
• Craft Oven Module: supports DTF curing as well as selected heating and craft-baking applications.

Modules can be changed without tools or screws. WonderPress automatically recognises the attached module and adapts the available controls and presets accordingly.

3D Sublimation with the 3D Form Module

When equipped with the optional 3D Form Module, WonderPress can use vacuum-assisted sublimation to conform printed sublimation film around curved and three-dimensional surfaces. xTool lists applications such as phone cases, badges and keycaps as examples of objects that can be decorated with this workflow.

The object must have a suitable sublimation coating or be made from a compatible polymer, and 3D sublimation requires an appropriate mould or fixture to support the object during processing.

Vacuum Forming with the 3D Form Module

The same 3D Form Module can also be used for vacuum forming. The system heats a forming sheet and draws it around a template using an integrated vacuum pump, allowing users to create fitted plastic forms without a separate external vacuum system.

An infrared sensor monitors the forming-sheet temperature in real time to help identify the correct point in the heating process for forming.

Object geometry is important when vacuum forming. Shapes with suitable draft angles are easier to release, while undercuts, side holes and projecting features can trap the formed sheet. Objects placed in the module during heating should also tolerate temperatures up to 100 °C. For heat-sensitive masters, xTool recommends heating the sheet first and positioning the object shortly before the vacuum process begins.

DTF Curing and Craft Heating with the Craft Oven Module

With the optional Craft Oven Module installed, WonderPress can add a dedicated curing stage to a DTF workflow. After curing, the Heat Press Module can be used for the transfer stage, allowing the same modular platform to handle two key parts of DTF production when both modules are available.

The Craft Oven includes a three-stage filtration system consisting of an H11 filter, activated carbon and an H13 HEPA filter. The filters are replaceable and are designed to reduce fumes, smoke and odours generated during DTF curing.

The oven can also support selected craft-heating processes such as plastic shrinking and polymer-clay baking. Its internal volume measures approximately 386.1 x 157.5 x 78.7 mm.

Tool-Free Module Changes

Changing the WonderPress workflow does not require tools or screws. Modules are designed to be exchanged directly, and the machine automatically recognises the installed module. This allows one platform to move between different processes without maintaining a completely separate machine for every supported workflow.

Smart Controls and Presets

WonderPress uses a rotary control together with a 1.8-inch display for setting processing parameters directly on the machine. Depending on the installed module and operating mode, the interface provides control over parameters including temperature, pressure and time.

The system can store up to 35 presets across its supported module workflows. WonderPress filters the available presets according to the module currently installed, helping keep the interface focused on the relevant process.

The xTool App can also be used to access verified settings and adjust processing parameters, providing another way to configure the machine for frequently used materials and workflows.

A Platform That Can Grow with Your Projects

The modular design allows WonderPress to serve different types of users without requiring every configuration to contain every module. A setup centred on the Heat Press Module can handle everyday transfer work, while adding the 3D Form Module opens 3D sublimation and vacuum forming. The Craft Oven Module expands the system further into DTF curing and selected heated craft processes.

This modular approach also makes WonderPress suitable for workflows involving other fabrication equipment. Laser-cut or 3D-printed objects can, for example, be used as parts or masters in subsequent forming and finishing processes with the appropriate WonderPress module.
