FlexPlate-Powder Coated PEI for 3D Printing

The Powder Coated FlexPlate consists of three components: a magnetic surface that attaches to your printer bed, and a high-quality spring steel sheet coated with premium PEI Ultem. This combination ensures durability, reliability, and excellent print adhesion.

The FlexPlate-Powder Coated PEI provides a robust surface for 3D printing. It is durable, easy to handle, and thanks to its flexible design, prints can be removed effortlessly by bending the plate slightly.

Based on a ferrite core, this FlexPlate is more heat-resistant than neodymium magnets. It can withstand temperatures up to 130°C, making it suitable for high-temperature filaments such as ABS.

PEI Ultem (Polyetherimide) is a reusable, low-maintenance build surface compatible with ABS (heated bed required), PLA (hot or cold), and other materials like Metal, Wood, PETG, and ABS+. No adhesives like glue or tape are necessary. PEI offers "no-surface-prep" convenience and allows parts to adhere directly without support rafts.

How to Use

Attach the magnetic surface to your print bed, then place the spring steel plate with PEI on top. Remove the protective film from the PEI and re-level your bed. PLA can print without heating, though 45°C helps adhesion. For large or long prints, using an adhesive stick is recommended. After printing, let the plate cool, gently bend it, and pop the print off. Clean the surface with 70–91% isopropyl alcohol or mild solvents to maintain optimal adhesion.
